Looking for something to do while your totally bored? Take a look at the list below
Have you ever been so bored you thought watching the grass grow would be exciting? Are you sick of sitting around watching the same old boring reality TV shows on television? You don't know what to do with yourself, so you sit there and stare at the floor, while your eyes glaze over slowly crossing, falling into the back of your head. Well pick yourself up and take a look at the list below and fight that boredom.
Word Of Caution
I cannot be held responsible for any lack of of fun or boredom you fail to have. Enter at your own risk. These are only suggestions, they do not however guarantee to fix your boredom. So proceed with caution.
1. Get up and go outside, take a nice long walk around the block exactly a dozen times. Count the cracks in the sidewalk. That is if you have a sidewalk. There are places that don't, believe it or not. So you will have to improvise.
2. Brush your teeth to the count of 1,000 while dancing to the beat of AC/DC. Suggested song--->TNT. If this doesn't get you moving, nothing will.
3. See if you can stand on your head. Stay clear of anything that may break. Unless of course your doing this outside, which is probably a good idea anyway. If you haven't done this in awhile, be prepared to get dizzy and your head will get sore.
4. If you have a dog, go outside and play tag. Better yet, play fetch. Your dog will love watching you run after the stick.

5. Watch a movie that you have already seen, see if you can recall things you may have missed the first time around. Or try catching some goofs that don't belong. This will take a keen eye and a lot of concentration. You will really have to pay attention.
6. Try to do some cartwheels. It is very important you do these outside, because you more than likely will miscalculate and break some furniture if you try doing them indoors. Like with the hand stand, open area's are best. The last thing you need is to flop down on the glass coffee table, and end up in the emergency room with 7,000 glass shards in your back. Remember, proceed with caution here.
7. Make some old fashioned crank phone calls. But be aware of caller ID. They will crank you back. Remember it is very possible they could be crazy and start stalking you, so maybe use a friends phone instead.
8. Chew on a wad of tin foil, see how long it takes you to spit it out. This could really freak you out so I suggest if you have fillings to proceed with extreme caution. Believe it or not, People actually do this. This is one example how people get so bored they will do anything to fill that void. So have fun chomping people.
9. Watch Dr. Phil. Now this is a tough one, this could go either way for. It depends on what Dr. Phil's topic is for the day. It might be something very interesting, or it might take you right back to watching the grass grow. As you can see in the photo, my cat Sully wasn't real thrilled with him at all. So, you choose.
10. Read a good book, write a letter some you haven't talked to in a long time, doodle, paint a picture, send an e-mail out to everyone in your address book, tell someone something you have been meaning to tell them. Now is a really good time.
11. Try listening to music you hate. You just might learn something new. You might learn you don't hate it as much as you thought. You might learn a bit of tolerance instead. Check here for your search of music you hate.
12. Push all the buttons while your riding in an elevator. Be very careful if you should decide to do this, it makes some people really very mad. They call this elevator rage. So you must be really bored and prepared to face the consequences.
13. Play trash can ball with crumpled up wads of paper. When your done your cat will love batting them around with you. If your cat is really smart like mine are, she might even bring the paper balls back you. Which then begins a game of paper ball fetch with the cats. Isn't fighting boredom fun?
14. If all else fails, go take yourself a nap and sleep it off. What is better than a good old fashion eight hour nap? Okay five hours. Whatever amount of time you choose. It's all good.
So, there you have it, 14 whizbang things to do when your totally bored out of your mind. It's up to you to do them, or leave them, or just keep watching the grass grow.

Like it says in the name, I was literally lol'ing at this. I might actually try chewing on tin foil... that's how insane I am. To the people who said it was lame/stupid, I feel sorry for you - you obviously can't appreciate humour. And how exactly, may I ask, is watching a film and looking for errors, or playing fetch with your dog a bad idea? Hell, BREATHING is a bad idea. Think about it - we could breathe in toxic gas and DIE. So don't say these ideas are stupid. Anyway, what's the point in commenting to say that you're bored? Is THAT helping with your boredom?

Sorry for your cat, Sully, but I'm sure shes happy somewhere and I'm sure she misses you too. These things are great, usually I am totally bored in the morning and now I am entertained! Ps. Don't pay attention to the negative comments about the tin foil, this is great. But you could add a few more things to your list!

My sister loves this site! She stood on her head for 1 minute and 23 seconds. She hated Dr.Phil but now she watches it whenever she can. Our dog starts barking, almost like laughing, at her every time she tries to chase a squirrel or a stick. She once prank called my aunt Linda. Thanks for the fun things to do!!!

Thank you Joey for your sympathies.I don't think I will have pets for a long while. I just lost Sully's sister Ethel, she was 18 and it is a tough hardship for me to lose another beloved pet. Hi Courtney, I hope your surgery goes well. There isn't much to do after surgery but rest and get better. Perhaps you could read, do some crossword puzzles, draw, or paint, invite some friends over and play some games like checkers monopoly, scrabble, or some other cool games they have out. Working a puzzle is challanging. But most of all you should take it easy and get well.

Hi i read the 14 things to do. I'm not trying to make you feel bad it's just all of those things im not interested in espeisly #9 watch Dr.Phil I don't watch Dr.Phil and never will. Can you make 14 fun things 10 year olds can do. Cuz i'm 10 and im getting a surgery Monday September 2,2011 and i wanna make the best of it and the only thing i get to do after the surgery is: Be in pain,lay down and watch T.V, and ya other stuff. So ya i wanna make the best of my time while im free!

So you came so close, but in the end carbon monoxide and a closed door will get the last laugh. i almost went for a walk

Well Pink there are tons of things you can do to keep you from being bored. You just have to start doing them. Go to the movies, hit a bookstore, go roller-blading, ice skating, take a hike in the woods, paint ball wars, disco dancing, watch a black and white movie, write a novel, crossword puzzles, jump rope, read, have coffee with a an old friend, and the list goes on and on...

I mostly wanted to say that 'blahhhh' seems to be pretty hypocritical by wondering why youre still commenting while 'blahhh' is doing the same thing. I'm told that the pain tinfoil creates feels like an electric shock in the sensitive root nerves of the filled tooth. This description is very accurate. It is an electric shock, of up to 2 volts.
I haven't found anything that says it will hurt you, my suggestion would be not to swallow it though! Thank you for your thoughts.

I am sorry you are depressed. I hope you can find some things to make you feel better. Get some new strings for your guitar and keep that up, that always makes me feel better. Try to keep busy doing things so your depression doesn't get worse.
Thank you, whoever made this. My friend is gone to India, and even before she left, we didn't get to hang out. That was mostly because I got a lot of homework and didn't have time to hang out with friends, but now over spring break my teacher didn't give me like anything so I could of been having fun with her now. My guitar strings broken, I don't feel like reading. And right now, at this moment I've realized I am extremely depressed.

Well I am sorry you don't find the humor. I am not telling anyone to do anything. I simply wrote an article suggesting things to do with a sarcastic slant. It was written in jest. I doubt many people would actually try chewing on a ball of tin foil.

On particularly boring days, I like to put a bit of paint on the wall and timing the drying time with a stopwatch. Wooh-hoo, think I'll break out the paint!

So sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a beloved pet. She was a beautiful cat.
My best friend just lost her 16 yr old cat. I assured her he was up in kitty heaven running to people to get his back rubbed, or running down the hall playing with his kitty toys with my granddaughter.

Provoking the mind to do some really different things or things you haven't done in awhile might give you a boredom boost. Sully the cat in the photo passed last year on April 26. She is very missed.
LOL LOL! some of these I would never try for fear of breaking not things but parts of my body. I do naps, and I do read, which makes me (after 3 or so pages) nap again :)

Ha ha ha! Boredom apparently is bane of a mind that is incapable of dealing with stillness and being in the present momment! Yeah....I struggle to but I am determined. Good thoughts on how avoid boredom!
